Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I place an order?
Orders can be placed directly through our website. If you’re looking for something custom or ordering flowers for an event, feel free to reach out through our contact form.

How far in advance should I order flowers?
For bouquet and floral arrangement orders, ordering 3 days ahead is best since everything is made fresh and based on what’s blooming. For events or workshops, we recommend reaching out at least 3 weeks in advance.

    Can I request specific flowers?
Because we grow and source seasonally, specific flowers can’t be guaranteed. We design with the best blooms available at the moment, so each arrangement is unique and reflects what’s in season.

  • Do you offer delivery?
Yes, we offer local delivery within 10 miles of Santa Clara.

    When are deliveries made?
Delivery days and times are Monday to Friday between 7 to 10 am within 48 hours you place your order (for example, order Monday, delivery by Wednesday). If you need flowers for a specific day, please note that when placing your order.

    How are floral deliveries handled?
Floral deliveries arrive early and kept in the shade in a Busy Bloomin bucket to keep the flowers fresh and hydrated. Please leave the bucket out afterward so our drivers can easily pick it up on their next route.

Can I pick up my order instead?
Local porch pickup is available for all orders. Pickup details will be shared once your order is confirmed.

  • What is your return policy?
Because flowers and plants are perishable, we do not accept returns. However, if there is an issue with your order, please contact us within 24 hours and we’ll do our best to make it right.

How long should my flowers last?
Most arrangements should last 5–7 days or more with proper care. Freshly grown flowers often last longer than imported flowers.

How can I make my flowers last longer?

    • Change the water every 1–2 days

    • Trim the stems at an angle before placing in water

    • Keep flowers out of direct sun and heat

    • Remove any fading blooms

  • Do you offer floral workshops?
Yes! We host seasonal floral workshops throughout the year, from bouquet bars, wreath making and other garden-inspired arrangements. Each workshop is designed to be hands-on and relaxed, using home grown or locally sourced florals and foliage.

Do you offer private workshops or events?
We do! Private workshops are perfect for team events, birthdays, or small gatherings. We can host at your location or help coordinate a space, depending on the size and style of your event.

What’s included in a workshop or private event?

    • A brief intro to local flower farming and seasonal blooms

    • Curated seasonal flowers and foliage, grown locally or on our small flower farm

    • All vessels, tools, and materials needed to create a garden-inspired floral design

    • Guided instruction from Chief Flower Officer and designer Beth

How many people can attend a private workshop?
We typically require a minimum of 8 guests to book a private event. Group size can vary depending on the workshop style, but we’re happy to tailor something that fits your group. Send us an inquiry with what you have in mind.

Can you customize the workshop experience?
Yes—everything from the floral style to the overall setup can be customized. Whether you’re looking for something more elevated or more casual and social, we’ll design an experience that fits.

How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date, especially during peak seasons.

    Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a deposit is required to hold your date for private events, with final headcount and payment confirmed ONE week prior.

    Where are workshops held?
Workshops may be hosted in our growing spaces in Santa Clara or at your chosen venue (travel rates may apply). Location details will be provided when booking.

  • Do you sell plants?
Yes! We offer seasonal cut flower plants—the same varieties we grow on the farm.

What kinds of plants do you sell?
Our nursery focuses on plants for cutting gardens, including flowers that are great for bouquets and floral design.

    When are plants available?
Plants are typically available during the spring and early summer growing season. Availability depends on what we’re growing that year.

  • Can the public visit the flower farm?
Busy Bloomin is a small working flower farm and is not open to the public.

    Do you ever host visitors?
